May 20th marks the beginning of Gemini season. Gemini is an air sign, symbolizing the duality of life, communication, siblings, short journeys, learning, curiosity, and the exchange of ideas. The shadow side of Gemini can involve being self-centered, overly critical or manipulative of others, and struggling to commit to one thing (mostly due to their curious minds!).
Geminis definitely have a bad rep due to their complex natures; however, they are a perfect example of life's fluidity and duality, constantly reminding us not to get attached to one identity. Embrace your curiosity during this season and remember to have fun!
On May 24th, Saturn moves into the sign of Aries for the first time in the last 29 years. It will remain in the sign of Aries until September 1, 2025, then will return in the sign of Pisces until February 2026. We’ll collectively get a glimpse of how this Saturnian energy will play out once it enters Aries long-term in February of next year.
Saturn's move into Aries spearheads a new cycle of boldness, courage, and individuality. Saturn's lesson in Aries is to be decisive and choose your path for yourself first, as long as it's aligned with your true goals and not merely driven by ego. It’s a time to shed old patterns or restrictions and create a life that genuinely reflects your current values and pursuits that excite you.
However, remember that Aries energy wants to rush, but Saturn demands patience and planning. This transit will force us to take initiative, but with a more methodical, responsible approach. Impulsive actions may meet with resistance or require more effort to sustain.
Saturn will also be conjunct to Neptune in Aries. For the next few months, leading up to the exact Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries, will be a potent time of integrating our dreams with reality. We'll be challenged to take disciplined, responsible action on our spiritual visions and to build new foundations that are both courageous and grounded in truth. It's a call to strip away illusions and step into a more authentic, empowered sense of self and collective purpose.
It won't always be easy, as the tension between these energies will be palpable, but it holds immense potential for mature spiritual growth and the manifestation of truly aligned ideals.
Personally, I can't wait for Saturn to leave Pisces and for things to get a breather. As a Pisces Sun (and Mercury), the Saturn in Pisces transit felt more heart-wrenching and tough than my Saturn return in Aquarius. It truly felt like an ego-death trip, which is funny, because the Sun in astrology represents our ego and our core (and it's one of a few reasons why I love astrology so much!). The last 1.5 years truly felt like shedding and embracing the Pisces qualities that I'd masked most of my life, like being overly sensitive and emotional, learning how to share those feelings and just fully embracing that part of me.
