Celebrity Birth Chart - Jim Carrey

Happy belated birthday to Mr. Carrey!

Something that drew my attention in his chart right away was his natal moon in Gemini. Isn’t this funny, taking into consideration that he played the main role in “The Mask”, which is one of the many ways the sign of the Gemini is portrayed.

His biography book also mentions that “at age eight he began making faces before a mirror and discovered a talent for doing impressions.”

Moving on to the next major players in his chart, the Scorpio Ascendant in his chart is conjunct Neptune in Scorpio. Just by looking at this placement, we can say that this is someone who is very dreamy, creative, compassionate and sensitive to others. Scorpio rising people are generally very psychic, and Neptune’s company expands this psychic and spiritual energy even further. Jim Carrey mentioned during a few interviews that he uses visualizations techniques and practices transcendental meditation. 

Jupiter and Mercury are squaring his Neptune, which shows that he has a unique mind and a different way of thinking compared to others. People with this aspect can be very often misunderstood by others, and vice versa. They might be stuck in the world of illusion and be drawn to escapism. Music, film, art, and poetry are also excellent ways to show off their creative talents and vivid imagination.

His Moon in Gemini also has a scorpio flavor, since it’s located in the 8th house (house of Scorpio). Jim Carrey definitely doesn’t strike as someone who’s intense or intimidating, which is the gift of the Gemini Moon. Gemini energy is light, fun and outgoing to the external world, however, can get very intense behind the closed doors. He appears to be generally happy and successful in life with a passion for learning, travel, writing, reading and talking with people. This aspect also shows someone who’s good with words, which explains how easy and natural it is for Jim Carrey to be funny and make other people laugh. 

Jupiter and Mercury trine Moon also indicate that he has a natural talent for writing and public speaking. People feel at ease around him. This aspect, as well as his scorpio placements show that he’s really good at reading the room and reading people, which helps him make friends with little effort. 

Sun conjunct Venus makes him very charming to others. His Sun and Venus are located in the house of Gemini, which shows someone who’s very outgoing, loves to talk, learn new things and someone who travels a lot very often (this aspect shows domestic travels specifically). However, since the Sun and Venus are in Capricorn, it shows that he might be channeling that energy into work versus the relationships in his life. 

Midheaven in Leo makes him thrive from being in the center of attention. MC is also conjunct Uranus, showing a very rebellious soul. Most likely Jim Carrey took a career path that was very different from what his parents expected for him to do. His MC has a tight conjunct with True Node, confirming that being in the spotlight is one of the karmic purposes his soul was meant to fulfill in this lifetime.
