2022 Lunar Nodes Transit
The North Node is moving into Taurus, while The South Node will be illuminating in Scorpio on January 19th
True Node, North Node, Ketu, Rahu… Once you get deeper into astrology, you start hearing about the nodes more and more often. Nodes are the points in the sky where the Moon and the Sun cross paths. In tropical astrology, the nodes are divided into two - the North Node (also known as the True Node) and the South Node.
The North Node transit shows the energy that will be present for us and the lessons that we collectively need to learn during a specific period of time. The South Node shows the unconscious patterns and the themes that we collectively abuse or take for granted.
The Nodes change signs about every 18 months. The last transit occurred on May 5th, 2020. It was not a coincidence that the Gemini North Node/Sagittarius South Node transit happened around the time when most of the world was facing the lockdowns, speech suppression, the rise of the “cancel” culture, influx of the mass media, travel advisories, law and education, which are still the case while the Lunar nodes remain in those signs through mid-January. Our lesson as the collective was to question the information that is being presented to us and having our voices heard. The inability to follow the energy usually manifests as not having much abundance in the area where the North Node resides. Physically, it would affect our nervous system, throat, lungs, and breath, as those are ruled by Gemini. Looking back now, all those themes have been coming up all the time over the past few years. Pretty fascinating, right?
On January 19th, the North Node is moving into the sign of Taurus, which highlights the themes of money, financial abundance, beauty, boundaries, partnerships and relationships. The South Node will enter Scorpio, and will highlight the themes of power, secrets, transformation, spirituality, taboo, sex.
With the Nodes in Taurus and Scorpio, there could be a continued disruption to our food supply, wealth, money, beauty. There will be a lot of secrets and information leaked that was previously hidden from the public.
June-September 2022, North Node will be at a very close conjunction with Uranus. Expect Cyber security threats, stock crash, technology disruptions. There is a possibility that there will be massive protests happening around the globe.
For our lives to be abundant and successful, we must take responsibility and strengthen our self-worth, and reconnect with our personal values. Rather than comparing ourselves to others, we have to choose and carve our own path in the direction of whatever brings us comfort and fulfillment.
The North Node in Taurus and Scorpio South Node invite you to take care of the physical body, heal your mind, body and soul, by working through patterns of abandonment, suspicion, isolation, sensuality, sexuality, and reconnecting with the energy of abundance. The next few years will push us to cultivate self-love and overcome stubbornness.
Among the activities suggested for this time are meditation, massages, walks in nature, therapy sessions, dancing, consultations with financial advisers and practice grounding techniques.
Collectively, we are going to see that the values will be drastically shifting and changing. People will be craving even more connection than usually, and taking risks when it comes to their finances.
